Kimberly Bonde Lic.Ac., RNFounder & Senior Practitioner

    Committed to your successful outcome

Kimberly’s approach is unique because she invests as a partner your health in a way that is deeply informed and purposeful. She has an extensive background as an acupuncturist, registered nurse, instructor, professional mentor and supervisor, and she was one of the first licensed acupuncturists in Georgia. Kimberly is also the founder of Intown Acupuncture, which she established in 2001.

Yet despite her level of achievement and activity in her field, Kimberly remains an incredibly warm, personal practitioner. She is wholly committed to helping you achieve your goals.

    Eastern and Western combined
With advanced degrees and decades of practical experience in both Eastern and Western medicine, Kimberly draws from both “maps” of the body to understand what you’re experiencing and to develop an intentional, holistic treatment plan for you. She will listen to you, think deeply about the results you want to achieve, develop a comprehensive treatment plan and closely monitor your progress. Email check-ins between your visits or follow-up with you after other medical procedures is standard practice with Kimberly as your acupuncturist.

Working as part of a health care team
Kimberly’s background enables her to work effectively with the other members of your health care team. In many instances this proves to be an invaluable part of your successful outcome. She has strong working relationships with medical doctors, especially local reproductive specialists, OB/GYNs, and midwives. Her referral relationships with chiropractors, massage and physical therapists, counselors, clergy, and other support professionals is well established. This enables Kimberly to serve as a bridge, with and for you, among the members of your personal health care team.

    Education and Professional History
Kimberly graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Religion from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts before completing her Master’s Degree in acupuncture at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Columbia, MD. She completed clinical work with Professor J.R. Worsley at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa, UK in 1989. Within a few years of establishing her private acupuncture practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado she attended Regis University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. For a number of years Kimberly practiced as an RN, working in high risk Labor & Delivery and cardiology, while simultaneously providing acupuncture care in her private practice. The ability to blend and draw on both perspectives is something that has enriched both professions and enabled Kimberly to provide a broader base of support for her clients.

    On a personal level
In her spare time Kimberly enjoys playing old time Appalachian fiddle tunes, camping in the Georgia State Parks, playing Pickleball, and keeping up with her house full of pets. She’s happily married with a 20-something daughter.

I first started seeing Kimberly hoping she might help with the near-constant headaches I was battling, as well as persistent allergies. More than 20 years later, I still see her. Thankfully, the headaches and allergies are under control, and now I see her to support my overall well-being. Over the years, our sessions have often targeted specific problems (broken bones, pregnancy symptoms, and anxiety), but they also always contribute to an “evenness” in being that I can’t quite explain. And the fact that she is an RN is a huge bonus, as I know she’s thinking through a comprehensive approach to supporting me and my health. Quite simply, I always feel better after going.  – AB, Atlanta
